"Justice League" to re-introduce a forgotten superhero

23 Nov – A member of the Green Lantern corps or simply known as the Green Lantern, is set to make an appearance in the upcoming "Justice League" movie.

Warner Bros. initially announced that a solo "Green Lantern" movie is scheduled to be released on 2020, but no news on the cast or the plot has been announced yet.

Nevertheless according to The Wrap, the superhero would make an earlier return to the big screen with a cameo role in next year's much awaited, "Justice League".

If this news is confirmed, it would mean that the casting announcement is also not too far away. After Ryan Reynold's 2011 solo "Green Lantern" movie, plans for a sequel were halted as it was not well received by the critics and the general public, making only USD219 million over its USD200 million budget.

The movie did so bad that even Ryan Reynold's himself started making fun of it in his "Deadpool" film released earlier this year.

However, it seems as if the hero is being rebooted to fit the DC Extended Universe much sooner than planned.

Meanwhile, DC's extended universe's fifth film, "Justice League" is set to be released in November next year and it will see a group of superheroes joining forces to battle an intergalactic supervillain named Steppenwolf.

The group led by Batman (Ben Affleck), will also see prominent heroes such as Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) as its founding members.
