"It's very soft cotton, so it will take on the shape of the contents," explained this five-star reviewer. "This does not provide any protection for anything fragile." Another shopper shared that "it would make packing easier if [the bag] stood up on its own."
Here's one more note of caution if you plan on using the duffel atop your suitcase. According to this shopper, "the one flaw is that the trolley sleeve was about 1/2 of an inch or 3/4 or an inch too small for my carry-ons." (Of course, your mileage may vary.)
