Julianne Moore Piles On The Decades For New Movie Wonderstruck

Always stunning on the red carpet, Julianne Moore has piled on the decades for new movie ‘Wonderstruck’, currently filming in New York.

- Chloë Sevigny: Three major directors ‘crossed the line’
- Susan Sarandon wants to direct ‘female-friendly’ porn
- Kristen Stewart movie booed at Cannes

The 'Hunger Games’ actress was snapped on set, sporting greying hair and thanks to some impressive make-up looking considerably older than her 55 years.

She was also spotted with young co-star Hays Wellford, soon to be seen in 'Independence Day: Resurgence’.

The movie sees Moore re-teaming with 'Carol’ director Todd Haynes, whom she worked with on the acclaimed 2002 movie 'Far From Heaven’.

It’s based on the award-winning book by Brian Selznick, who also wrote 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret’, which Martin Scorsese adapted for his 2011 movie 'Hugo’.

It tells the story of a deaf child who runs away to New York, and whose life becomes intertwined with Rose, a woman who is also deaf and who also ran away to New York when she was young.

The film will also star Michelle Williams and 'Gotham’ star Cory Michael Smith.

It’s among a number of other projects Moore currently has on the slate.

Also coming up is the star-laden 'Suburbicon’, to be directed by George Clooney from a Coen brothers script, featuring Oscar Isaac, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Woody Harrelson.

Then at quite the other end of the scale, there’s her role in the 'Kingsman’ sequel, 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, with Taron Edgerton, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Colin Firth and, as of yesterday, Elton John.
