Julian Cheung plans to retire in five years

4 Oct – Julian Cheung recently admitted that he has plans to retire from acting in five years' time.

As reported on HK01, the actor, who has been acting since 1992, recently went on the Chinese variety show, "Call Me By Fire", and elaborated about his previous remark about approaching retirement.

According to Julian, he really meant it when he said that he will be retiring within five years, as he has already lost interest and energy for his craft.

"I used to be very enthusiastic about acting. Now it seems like I have no such impulse. There is no enthusiasm. You must always have enthusiasm when you are acting or singing," he said.

However, Julian assured that not acting does not mean he will not be working at all, adding that he may do other work instead.

The actor's last project was the 2019 film, "Death Notify" and the 2020 series, "The Impossible 3"
