We can think of at least one thing Julia Stiles didn’t hate about this Christmas: getting engaged!
The Save the Last Dance actress, 34, announced the big news on Instagram with a photo of her hand — stunning sparkler included! — entwined with that of her fiancé, Preston J. Cook’s. “Best Christmas Ever!” she exclaimed.
Stiles met Cook, a camera assistant, when they worked together on her upcoming thriller, Go With Me. People reports that Cook, who recently worked with Leonardo DiCaprio on The Revenant, popped the question on Christmas Eve at a private residence in Isla Grande, Colombia.

Stiles has managed to keep much of her personal life private throughout her career, but she did give a little glimpse into just how she feels about Cook this summer when The Guardian asked her about the best kiss of her life: “It might have happened this morning,” she gushed.
