Julia Montes denies network transfer amid shutdown issue

13 Jul – Julia Montes' camp has dismissed rumours that the actress will be transferring to ABS-CBN's rival network, GMA.

As reported on Inquirer, rumours of Montes' departure from the Kapamilya network sparked following ABS-CBN's shutdown and its current indefinite situation before Congress, with sources claiming that her talent agency Cornerstone Entertainment is currently in negotiations with the Kapuso network.

In response to the rumours, Montes' handler Mac Merla stated that even they are clueless about it.

"I just spoke to Julia a while ago and both of us have no idea about this. We never had any discussion about a transfer," said Merla.

On the other hand, the talent handler also stated that they do not know the fate of Montes' recent comeback series, "24/7", which has halted production earlier this year following the lockdown imposed by the government due to the pandemic.

"We're not certain whether or not the show has been shelved," Merla added.
