Julia Fox and son Valentino are the queen and prince of NYC in matching pink royal looks

Julia Fox's unconventional fashion sense is no secret. Some of her quirkiest looks this year alone include repping the no trousers trend with shoes made from hair extensions, a unique take on the nude look we frankly don't have the words for, a chain embellished gothic mini skirt suit and a bikini layered over thermals paired with a faux fur coat. Because it definitely wasn't bikini weather in New York in January.

So it'll be no surprise her latest photoshoot for the New York Post's Alexa fashion and beauty supplement stays true to theme. Gracing the cover of the publication's Mother's Day issue (celebrated this year on 12 May in the US), Julia can be seen wearing a regal AF princess dress. Her three-year-old son, Valentino, perched on her hip in a matching pink royal ensemble as they pose on the steps of a New York home.

The gown in question features a strapless corseted ivory bodice with pink ribbon off-the-shoulder sleeves tied into bows and a satin skirt featuring pink lace panels, both from Undone By Kate. Her newly dyed blonde hair is styled into voluminous face-framing curls. Valentino, in his collared shirt and bloomer shorts with pink patterned socks, looks like a little prince next to his mother who no question is the queen of New York.

Elsewhere in the shoot, Julia wears a purple sequin mini dress alongside Valentino in fuchsia pink fluffy UGG slippers. The model, actor, author and soon-to-be singer (yes, that's right, a Julia Fox single is in the works), also models a hooded crochet cardigan with angel wings, again matched by Valentino in a hooded all-in-one, his own pair of angel wearings peeking out from his shoulders. Safe to say, he's following in his mother's style steps.

Photographer Greg Swales shared additional shots on Instagram that see Julia in a Christian Cowan pink fluffy bra top and matching mini skirt. She wears white ankle socks and blue fluffy mules on her feet while Valentino is in a rainbow striped shirt and shorts. Both their ensembles evidence of the liberated and loving life they're living, which Julia discusses in depth in the accompanying interview.

“I wanted to channel the transition from the ’50s, where it was very oppressive, and the ’60s, which were more about self-love and liberation. What I wanted to convey in this story was that a man used to live in this house, but now I’m just living my best life with my son. And I’m not raising him to be the s–tty man that was in the house before,” she tells the publication. While posing in a custom Batsheva dress made entirely from oven gloves.

Yep, this is Julia Fox at her best. We have one word: obsessed.
