Joyce Cheng remembers mum on Christmas

27 Dec - Joyce Cheng, who hasn't updated her social media much with personal photos in many months, has taken to Instagram to share an old photo with late mum, Lydia Shum.

On 25 December, the singer posted a photo of Lydia performing on stage on Christmas Day while holding her hand, writing, "Christmas is a holiday spent with family and the people you love. Maybe because of this, I dream of you on this day. We must cherish the time spent with our loved ones on every opportunity."

"Wishing you all, a very happy Christmas from my family to you," she added.

Fans and friends took to the comments section to wish her a Merry Christmas, including singers Gin Lee and Lesley Chiang, actress Charmaine Sheh, and actress Aimee Chan, the latter who wrote, "Merry Christmas babe!! We love you!!"

It is noted that Joyce has suspended work since April and had not updated her social media since then, except to announce her voice over work for Disney's "Wish". She also appeared in good friend Alfred Hui's music video last month.
