Joshua Garcia among many joining "Darna" TV series

6 Oct – After it was announced that Chito S Roño will be helming the "Mars Ravelo's Darna: The TV Series", ABS-CBN recently revealed the rest of the actors who will be joining the series.

As reported on ABS-CBN, on 5 October, it was announced that Joshua Garcia and Zaijan Jaranilla will be joining the drama, which will star Jane de Leon as Darna and Iza Calzado as her mother and the original Darna.

Joshua is set to play the male lead, it was revealed, portraying a police officer named Brian Samonte Robles, while Zaijan will be playing Darna's trusty sidekick Ding.

Aside from the four, the upcoming series will also be joined by several others including Kiko Estrada, Rio Locsin, Simon Ibarra, Young JV, Marvin Yap, and LA Santos.

"Mars Ravelo's Darna: The TV Series" will begin filming in early November.
