Josephine Koo nervous about first stage play
31 Aug – Veteran actress Josephine Koo recently admitted that she is nervous about performing in her first stage play ever alongside co-star Steven Ma.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who appeared at the press conference of Steven's new stage production, "After Life" recently, stated that she has not been exposed to such a performance before, and should be considered to be at a "kindergarten level".
"Steven is very "adventurous" for doing this, and really deserves everyone's admiration," she said.
Nonetheless, Josephine admitted that she decided to accept the offer from Steven because of the script that he wrote himself.
When asked of her thoughts on performing on stage, the actress said that it has been a while since she has been in the spotlight, and is nervous about it.
Making her showbiz debut in the 1980s, Josephine Koo won Best New Performer at the 1985 Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in "Homecoming". She appeared in several other films before she disappeared from the screen in the early noughties.
The actress returned to showbiz in 2013 through "Tales from the Dark".
This will be her first ever attempt at doing theatre.
