Someone at the National University of Singapore (NUS) apparently decided to spread some cheer to the graduating cohort of 2020 by sending them a message from a porn star.

A Cameo video with a congratulatory message by popular pornographic actor Johnny Sins (whose real name is Steven Wolfe) appeared on the celebrity shoutout platform last week.

Cameo is a service that allows people to pay for celebrities, influencers and popular personalities to record personalised video messages as gifts for friends and family.

“What’s up, NUS class of 2020! It’s Johnny Sins! I just want to congratulate all of you guys for graduating,” Johnny said in his 45-second video. “I know it's kind of a crazy time to be graduating right now, but my advice is – follow your heart and do what you love to do, not what someone else tells you you should be doing. Because if you're true to yourself and do what you love to do, then you're never going to work anyway. So you can do a career that you love and it’ll never feel like work. Kinda like I do.”

Here’s Johnny’s Cameo shoutout to NUS students:

A Cameo video by Johnny will cost you US$109 (S$153), as listed on Cameo’s website. Johnny Sins, who is also a YouTuber, has been nominated thrice for the adult video award, the AVN Award for Male Performer of the Year, in 2015, 2018 and 2019.

Cameo mostly features American celebrities such as Lord Of The Rings actor Sean Astin and singer Todrick Hall. But local services featuring Asian celebrities have also emerged recently – these include Sendjoy and Ace.

On Sendjoy, you can book celebrities such as Ah Boys To Men star Maxi Lim and comedians from Sgag like Fauzi Azzhar and Mark Kinoshita.

On Ace, you can book people like comedians Gurmit Singh and Kumar, and drag queens such as Vanda Miss Joaquim and Becca D’Bus.
