John Woo to make Hollywood comeback?

1 Nov – It was reported that Hong Kong action auteur John Woo is set to make his Hollywood comeback with the new action flick, "Silent Night".

As reported on Deadline, the upcoming project will star Joel Kinnaman ("Suicide Squad"), and will revolve around a father who heads into the underworld to avenge his young son's death.

However, the said movie reportedly will not have a word of dialogue - hence the title.

It is noted that it has been nearly 20 years since Woo made his last English-language movie, with the last one being the Ben Affleck-starrer, "Paycheck". He then returned to Asian cinema and completed the two-part epic war period film, "Red Cliff".

If it comes to fruition, the movie will be a great project for Woo, who will be able to flex his action aesthetics, white doves and wuxia-like gun fights and all.
