Joey Thye says she is free of COVID-19
27 Jul – Joey Thye recently took to social media to reveal that she was tested negative for COVID-19.
As reported on Mingpao, the Malaysia-born actress who was part of the drama class attended by singer Zaina Sze who became the first celebrity to be diagnosed with the coronavirus, shared the result of her test on Instagram, which revealed that the virus was not detected in her body.
"Today passes the most helpless and flustered time in my life. I am grateful for the many concerns and well-wishes that I received from family, friends, and many others. I will continue to be vigilant," she wrote.
Joey stated that it was surreal and shocking that she was close to being infected, and so grateful that her test has shown otherwise.
"Because of the work relationship, I had contacted a lot of people in the past few days. I decided to post this so that everybody can be at ease. I also understand that the report is not always 100 percent correct, so I will continue to isolate myself at home," she added.
