Joel Chan is excited to play the best fighter in "Super Emissary"

3 Apr – TVB actor Joel Chan recently expressed his elation over the fact that he will be collaborating with old friends again in the new drama, "Super Emissary" (working title).

As reported on On CC, the actor, who spoke about the new Jazz Boon series, stated that he will be playing siblings with fellow actor Jazz Lam, who will be playing the elder brother. The series also co-stars his "Chinatown" pals, Ruco Chan and Natalie Tong.

"It has "The Edge of Righteousness" feel to it. But this time there will be no Elaine Yiu as the romantic interest, but I will be paired up with Tiffany Lau instead, who played my daughter in "Running in Strides"," he said.

Joel added that while the title seemed to hint of a fantastical show, the drama actually has a "down-to-earth" Hong Kong feel to it.

When asked if he will have a lot of action scenes this time - seeing that Jazz Boon is known for his action-packed series - Joel laughed and said that his character is the best fighter in the entire series.

"The producer knows I have been resting too long, and have to loosen my bones and muscles," he added.
