Joe Chen doesn't regret finding love in her 40s
24 Sep - Joe Chen recently admitted that she has no regrets to not have found love until she is in her 40s if it meant meeting the right person.
The actress, who held her wedding with Alan Chen two years after they registered their marriage, shared in her wedding speech held in Langkawi that she didn't feel that it was too late for her to finally found him when she was 43.
"The best person may come a little later, but you came. You appeared, as if God had specially tailored it for me, and appeared at the best time. Your warmth and sincerity softened me. It turns out that having a reliable person by your side can really change things. It is because we complement each other so much that our lives are both ordinary and interesting, independent and intimate," she expressed.
Joe also said that Alan is not just her husband but her family and friend.
"We can always explore many things with novelty. We travel together, ride bikes together to discover beautiful places in Taipei, eat a lot of delicious food together, and watch movies together. We stick together every day. I think that only when two people are happier together than when they are alone, that is the meaning of marriage," she added.
Meanwhile, Alan stated, "No matter what we face, I will be like a mountain and be your most stable support. I promise to give you all my love, cherish you, love you, and care for you. In the days to come, we will go on adventures together, make progress together, and make our good relationship come to fruition together."
