Jody Chiang latest album is her last

12 May – Speculations arise that Taiwanese singer Jody Chiang's latest album, "Run Away", her first in three years, may be her final release.

As reported on TW, the veteran singer, who has been in the business for 32 years, has not mentioned plans to release subsequent albums this time around, unlike her usual announcements in the past.

It was rumoured that Jody has decided to stop releasing physical albums due to piracy issues in recent years, as well as the lack of musical direction.

Jody's manager neither admitted nor denied the speculations, but stressed, "Ceasing the release of physical albums does not mean that she will quit singing altogether."

Meanwhile, Jody has yet to make any comments on the rumour.

The singer, who was dubbed as the Queen of Taiwanese music, has already released a total of 63 albums in her 32 years of singing career, including the record-breaking "Jiu Hou De Xin Sheng" which sold over 1.16 million copies.
