JJ Lin hopes to win Best Album at GMA
22 Jun – Although winning would be a great acknowledgment for him, JJ Lin admitted that it is no longer his main purpose in making music.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer-songwriter who has been nominated in six categories at the upcoming Golden Melody Awards, shared that he is not trying to prove himself now that he is in his 15th year in the industry, but to bring positive energy to everyone.
"This is the idea that I want to instill in my performance at the Golden Melody Awards," he said.
On the other hand, when asked which category he would love to win, JJ, who is also nominated for Best Mandarin Male Singer and Song of the Year among others, said that he has high hopes on winning Best Album.
"Every song in this album is important and it would be incomplete without any one of them," he said.
JJ admitted that the album, aptly titled "Message in a Bottle", has great significance to him. The singer likened it to "writing a letter to the universe with music".
On the other hand, JJ revealed that he will be attending the event with his mother, calling her his "lady luck".
The upcoming Golden Melody Awards will be held on 23 June.
