Jisoo to star in zombie-themed drama, "Newtopia"

2 Aug - BLACKPINK's Jisoo has found another drama project following her debut project, "Snowdrop" in the upcoming zombie series, "Newtopia".

The news was confirmed by Coupang Play, revealing that the singer will be playing the girlfriend Young Joo to Park Jung-min's reservist character Jae Yoon, and that the series will have the two trying to find each other across zombie-infested Seoul.

Stills from the drama have been released recently, including one showing Jisoo's character looking around in desperation as she wanders through what looks like a residential area.

The drama will be helmed by director Yoon Sung-hyun of "Bleak Night" fame with script by Han Jin-won ("Parasite") and Ji Ho-jin ("A Shop for Killers").

The drama is slated for 2025 release.

Prior to this, it was reported that Jisoo will be a part of the movie, "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint".
