Jinny Ng was absent from TVB Awards due to skin condition
26 Dec – Hong Kong singer Jinny Ng recently revealed that her absence from the TVB Anniversary Awards was actually due to a dermatological condition called pityriasis rosea.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke about her condition recently, revealed that she had rashes all over her body and couldn't attend the said awards because of it.
"The rashes on the arm has receded a lot now, but the other parts are still very serious," she said.
Jinny said that the condition might have occurred because she had been busy for the past few months. Aside from recording songs and performing, she was also busy moving back to Hong Kong after living in Macau for the past couple of years.
On the other hand, the singer also dismissed speculations that she was being sarcastic in her congratulatory wishes to Hana Kuk for winning Best Theme Song at the TVB Anniversary Awards, saying that people were reading too much into it.
