Jimmy Wang moves from hospital to rented place
4 Feb – After almost five years in hospital, it was revealed that veteran martial arts actor Jimmy Wang was finally discharged.
As reported on Singtao Daily, the news was confirmed by his eldest daughter Carol Wang, who has been taking care of the 77 year-old since he was hospitalised after suffering a stroke when he was in Bangkok back in 2016.
Said Carol, they are now renting a place near the hospital and a park to make it more convenient for him to go for physiotherapy and enjoy some time out in the sun. She assures that her father is recuperating well.
She added that the family made that decision after realising that renting a place is less expensive than continuously paying for his total medical expenses, aside from the fact that the new standard operating procedures of hospitals have changed since the pandemic - making it difficult for the family members to visit him.
On the other hand, his other daughter, Hong Kong singer Linda Wong stated that Jimmy's condition is now stable, though she has yet to be able to visit him due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic.
