Jimmy Lin reveals reason for past breakup with Ruby Lin
15 Nov– Taiwanese singer-actor Jimmy Lin has finally confessed the reason why his past relationship with Ruby Lin ended after only three years.
As reported on TVBS News, the actor, whose romance with Ruby sparked in the mid-90s following their cooperation in the 1995 movie, "School Days", hinted in a recent interview that he couldn't handle how much attention the actress got from other men.
"Ruby Lin is good at everything. But she is very popular with the opposite sex that it gets to a point that it became ridiculous," he said.
It is noted that soon after they started dating, Jimmy had to take a break from showbiz to fulfil his conscription service. It was during that time that Ruby's popularity went on the rise with "My Fair Princess" and she became close friends with co-star Alec Su.
In a different interview, Ruby said that it was inevitable that her relationship with Jimmy would not have worked out, blaming herself for being too young and insensible.
The two, however, remain good friends with each other. Jimmy married model Kelly Chen and they have three children together, while Ruby tied the knot with actor Wallace Huo and the two are now parents to daughter Angel.
