Jiang Zhihao reveals hardship in battling lung cancer
2 Jul - Jiang Zhihao recently shared an update on his health following previous revelation that he was diagnosed with lung cancer.
On 30 June, the "Youth with You 3" alumnus took to social media to talk about his health condition, saying that he has been working hard to fight his disease but that "meningeal metastasis has recurred and worsened."
Admitting that the physical and mental pain had been hard for him, Jiang said that there had been countless times where he thought about ending his life. He also admitted that the treatment is causing him financial and psychological burdens.
"I should have a life and have never wanted to admit that this is my ending. But seeing this beautiful world and all the beautiful things around me, I really don't want to give up so easily. Mum lost, but mum definitely wouldn't want me to lose. I beg everyone to help me. I want to challenge it again. If I can't do it alone, I hope everyone can lend me strength and fight side by side with me," he said.
It was back in March last year that Jiang revealed to his fans that he was battling cancer. In a later update, the singer said that he was told by the doctor that he might only have three months left.
Jiang previously revealed that his mother passed away from breast cancer in 2017.
