Ji Soo just can't seem to catch a break.

According to Soompi, the 28-year-old actor's agency Key East announced the termination of his contract earlier today.

After facing accusations of bullying others in school and being mired in an ongoing lawsuit for 3 billion won by a production company who suffered losses from Ji Soo's scandal, this is yet another black mark on the actor's reputation.

Key East released the following statement:

"Hello, this is KeyEast.

This is a notice that the exclusive contract with our agency’s actor Ji Soo has come to a conclusion.

We assessed that it is currently difficult for Ji Soo to carry out activities, and we respect the actor’s personal intention to not cause further harm to the agency, so a mutual final decision was made to terminate his contract.

Regarding the ongoing lawsuit on River Where The Moon Rises, we will do our best until the end in order to resolve the situation.

Thank you."

This also marks the end of a very short contract, which Ji Soo only signed on 15 Oct 2020, not even lasting a year.

It is not unexpected that South Korea has very high standards for idols and actors to have spotless reputations.

'Cancel culture' is strong in Korea when it comes to its celebrities, and many stars have been 'cancelled' or lost their endorsements due to their scandals.

Some of these celebs include actress Seo Ye Ji for school bullying and abusing her staff, and Song Joong Ki, who was criticised for his role in the break up of his marriage, which reportedly caused him to lose multiple brand deals.

Ji Soo had issued a handwritten apology for his actions and will be enlisting into the army in October this year.
