Jericho Rosales apologised to Jennylyn Mercado

The actor has said he is sorry after backing out from their new MMFF project, "Almost is Not Enough"

2 Oct - Actor Jericho Rosales recently shared that he has already apologised to Jennylyn Mercado, after withdrawing from their upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival project, "Almost Is Not Enough".

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actor who had since been replaced by Derek Ramsay, shared that one of the reasons why he backed out was the realisation that he wasn't emotionally prepared to return to work at the time, after his father's passing back in March.

"I love [director] Dan [Villegas] and I love Jen. I saw her yesterday and I said I was sorry. I personally would have liked to work with Jen again. She's one of the best actresses that I have ever worked with, which is wonderful," he said.

Rosales added that it wouldn't be professional for him to work on the movie if he couldn't give it his all because of his emotional situation.

"I do not want to be irresponsible. I'd rather be honest than pretend that I am okay," he added.

Prior to the movie, the two stars worked together in the 2015 movie, "Walang Forever", where both Rosales and Mercado won Best Actor and Actress.
