Jeremy Tsui says goodbye to "Burning Flames" character Hei Long

5 Apr - Jeremy Tsui recently updated his social media account for the first time since announcing his impending retirement from his acting career last month, just to bid farewell to his drama character.

On 3 April, the actor shared several photos of him as his character Hei Long in "Burning Flames", of which he guest-starred, to promote the finale of the drama.

He wrote, "Since the first time I was introduced to Hei Long, and trying to understand and interpret him, I slowly began to understand his heart. Hei Long is a character of two sides."

"On the surface, he seems to be the lord of all, and he is aloof. But in fact, he doesn't care about anything except his lover. He is willing to fight fate for hundreds of thousands of years until his lover returns. His wish is simple but difficult," he added.

Jeremy said that he is honoured to play such a role, having seen the character's persistence, fearlessness, arrogance, sincerity and gentleness.

"I have also seen people's love for Hei Long. Thank you, very much," he added.

It is noted that Jeremy has five more dramas throughout the year, including three that has him playing the main role. The actor said that he would complete all the projects he has in his hand first before leaving showbiz.
