Jeremy Tsui breaks silence following farewell announcement
9 Sep - Six months after surprising fans by saying "farewell" to acting, Jeremy Tsui suddenly reappeared on social media to explain his previous announcement.
On 6 September, the actor posted a long message on Weibo, revealing to fans that his father, who was diagnosed with a health problem six years ago, has been experiencing worsening condition in recent years.
"As the only son in the family, I felt like it was my responsibility to support my family during this trying time... I was useless. It was only when my father fell ill that I realised that wishes also have a shelf life. So, I acted impulsively. I couldn't wait to return to my family with a resolute attitude," he wrote.
Jeremy then apologised to his fans for his impulsive decision. He also thanked them for their continuous support.
The actor also mentioned that he first considered turning to behind the scenes work in 2016, but with the support of the team, he returned to acting and created many roles. He thanked the company for its companionship and support, and said that without the efforts of the team, he wouldn't have had his achievements today.
While Jeremy made no mention about coming back, his fans are getting excited with the idea that he will return soon.
