Jenny Zhang's ban lifted after a year?
4 Nov - It was reported that the ban against singer-actress Jenny Zhang may have been slowly lifted.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actress found herself in a controversy last year after she was rumoured to have gone to BLACKPINK Lisa's Crazy Horse show in Paris following the Paris Fashion Week - a decision that is considered a breach of the moral guidelines set by the Chinese government.
This was further fuelled by Jenny herself being seen waving at fans in front of the entrance of the venue to the said show.
Both she and Angelababy, the latter who was also accused of attending the show, disappeared from the entertainment industry overnight, with their social media accounts getting banned and their TV and public appearances subsequently cancelled or edited out.
Now that it has been more than a year since the incident, many netizens noticed that Jenny's Weibo and other social media accounts have been unblocked, meaning that she may be able to return to the limelight.
However, some speculated that it may take Jenny a little bit of time to do so, seeing that Angelababy, whose social media accounts were returned to her much earlier, hasn't had an easy comeback since the controversy.
