Jeanne Lau won't try to persuade Etta Ng home

20 Nov – Despite being close to Etta Ng, Jeanne Lau, daughter of former actress-turned-solicitor Mary Jean Reimer, recently stated that she will not persuade the 17-year-old to return home to her mother, radio personality Elaine Ng.

As reported on Mingpao, Jeanne, who appeared at a skincare brand event recently, addressed the mother-daughter issue between Elaine and Ella, saying, "Etta is her own person. I will not force her to do anything. But I will try to advise her to go back to school."

It was previously reported that Jackie Chan's estranged daughter Etta dropped out of high school and moved in with 30 year-old Insta-famous girlfriend Andi Autumn.

When asked her thoughts about Andi, Jeanne said that the two of them are just an ordinary couple.

"I have met her girlfriend several times. They seemed like a normal couple. Nothing has changed about Etta [since dating Andi]. She is still the same person," she said.

As for rumours that the teenage Etta is supporting Andi with the allowance given by Elaine, Jeanne said she knows nothing about it.

On the other hand, when asked about her mother, who recently went back to work as a lawyer, Jeanne admitted that she is not used to seeing Mary Jean works so hard.

"I hope to redouble my effort at work to help her support the family," she added.
