Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrances to Receive Corporate Impact Award at The Center Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street

Jean Paul Gaultier’s fragrance business will receive the Corporate Impact Award at the The Center Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street on April 11.

The Center Dinner has been one of the largest gatherings of LGBTQIA+ leaders and allies in the New York City area, raising funds to support The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center’s programs.

In addition, The Eagle, a gay bar owned by Derek Danton and Robert Berk at 554 West 28th Street, will receive the Community Impact Award.

Richie Shazam, model, photographer, filmmaker and friend of the house, will present the Corporate Impact Award to the Jean Paul Gaultier team. Puig, the Spanish fashion and fragrance firm, took over the Gaultier fragrance brand in 2016 from Beauté Prestige International, Shiseido’s perfume arm.

The evening will include remarks by the center’s new leadership — Carla Smith, who began her tenure in February with 25 years of experience centering historically neglected populations within organizations, including Urban Resource Institute, My Sister’s Place, NYC Anti-Violence Project and Housing Works.

Special appearances by cast members of RuPaul’s “Drag Race” season 16, including Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, Q and Sapphira Cristál, will round out the evening.
