Jay Chou is serious about releasing new album
12 Apr – Shortly after expressing his intention on social media to start writing songs again, Jay Chou recently confirmed with the media that he has plans to release a new album soon.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared in Hong Kong recently, revealed that he would love to return and perform a solo concert at the end of the year, but that it would only be possible if he released a new album first.
"I am using my holidays to find inspiration for new songs," he said.
It is noted that the singer has not released new music since his 2016 album, "Jay Chou's Bedtime Stories".
At the same time, the singer also admitted that despite being unsociable in the past, he has been enjoying his time interacting with fans on social media since opening up his own Instagram account a few years ago.
"I like to read fans' messages, and I like to go back and forth with Mayday's Ashin and Jam Hsiao in the comments," he said.
