Jay Chou, A-Mei bag most accolades at Hito Awards
8 Jun - Jay Chou and A-Mei became the biggest winners at the HITO Music Awards 2016, bagging four awards each at the event held on 5 June.
As reported on Epoch Times, Jay, who won Top Ten Chinese Song, also won Hito Champion and Best Long Standing Album for his album, "Aiyo, Not Bad" (24 weeks), as well as Top Global Chinese Singer.
A-Mei won Top Ten Chinese song, Best Female Singer, as well as Hit Fm Global Media Award and Best Arrangement for "Jamaican Betel Nut".
JJ Lin won Best Male Singer, while Hebe Tien won the Hit FM Annual One Hundred Singles for "A Little Happiness", the theme song of the hit movie, "Our Times".
Show Luo, Rainie Yang, and SpeXial won the Favourite Male, Female, and Group awards, respectively, while Pets Tseng won Favourite Newcomer.
Since the event is a precursor to the Golden Melody Awards, many believed that the upcoming awards will have similar results.
