Jason Chan Pak Yu reconsider gigs due to new baby
2 Oct – Hong Kong singer Jason Chan Pak Yu recently made his first public appearance since the birth of his daughter Abigail, and couldn't contain his happiness when asked about his new life as a father.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared at a press conference to announce his upcoming concert, shared that his baby girl was actually born earlier than the expected date of birth.
"We just had barbecue with friends to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival the night before, and the next morning, my wife's water broke. But I was not too panicked because we had been prepared," he said.
When asked whether Abigail resembles him or wife Leanne, he responded, "I don't know. I don't know if it's a good thing if the child looks like me."
As for Abigail's Chinese name, Jason stated that he will left the task to the master.
However, despite his daughter's birth, Jason said that he will be working as usual, though admitted that it has been really hard for him to be apart from them.
"I will work as usual, but I will reconsider taking any gigs that requires me to leave Hong Kong for too long," he added.
