Jason Chan is leaving TVB
29 Jul – Another artiste is leaving TVB, as "Daddy Dearest" actor Jason Chan revealed that he is not renewing his contract with the company.
The actor recently took to Instagram to announce his departure by sharing a group photo of him and his friends from the 2006 batch of the TVB Artist Training Centre.
"I was hesitant at first when I came to Hong Kong. A man, leaving home to the unknown to pursue a dream. But I am so lucky to have a good support from the family. My parents were encouraging, and my four brothers were supportive as well. They gave me confidence to realise my dream," wrote the actor.
Jason admitted that he was fortunate to be fully accepted when he arrived in Hong Kong. TVB executive Virginia Lok would bring him to events and teach him to always cherish the opportunity coming his way, Sandy Yue would give him a lot of chance to try his hand on hosting, and Catherine Tsang would lend a helping hand in cultivating his talents.
"I want to thank all the colleagues who have worked with me. [...] I will try my best and I will continue to be myself," he added.
Jason is soon to welcome his first baby with wife, actress-host Sarah Song.
