Jason Chan denies making big money since leaving TVB

6 Jul – Former TVB actor Jason Chan has laughed off rumours that he and wife Sarah Song are making a hefty HKD 400,000 monthly from their hosting work with various platforms.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the Hong Kong Drama Awards recently, admitted that he and Sarah are making some money from their work since leaving TVB, but stated that the aforementioned amount was exaggerated.

"But yes, there had been a lot of opportunities on the internet. This is the trend," he added.

When mentioned that singer Auston Lam recently left TVB after being offered a meagre sum of money to renew his contract, Jason, who left the company in 2018, responded, "TVB operates like this. For him to leave now, the room for development and opportunity will be greater."

On the other hand, the actor stated that he is hoping that the pandemic will subside soon so that he can be more relaxed about his wife's condition, seeing that Sarah is giving birth this September.
