Japanese chainstore’s latest bread spread turns your toast into melon pan
Japanese chain store Kaldi Coffee Farm has launched yet another interesting bread spread: melon pan (bread in Japanese). This comes after their curry pan spread which sold like hot cakes when it first launched in 2020.
According to the product’s tagline, all you have to do is to “spread it and bake it” to transform your boring toast into a sweet and crispy melon pan.
Both the melon pan and curry pan are one of the popular bread common in Japanese bakeries. The spreads are a convenient way to satisfy your craving for a very Japanese flavour.
Although Kaldi’s spreads are not available in Singapore, here are some other unique spreads you can get online.
Incidentally, Kewpie’s spreads work the same way. As their spreads come in tubes, you just need to squeeze out the strips on your toast and send them into the oven for a light grill. Don’t say we bojio, the mentaiko spread tastes amazing!
