Japanese actress Yui Aragaki has a doppelganger in this Chinese social media celebrity

Celebrity doppelgangers make us confused, and sometimes even the celebrities themselves mistake photos of the other for themselves. Think Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Heath Ledger, or Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman. Another lookalike pair has been established recently, this time between a Chinese reality TV contest winner Long Meng Rou and Japanese actress Yui Aragaki.

Yui Aragaki is best known for her smooth, white skin and bright smile, which is probably the reason why she is endorsing Kose’s Sekkisei products.

Long Meng Rou, also known affectionately as Lizi, has been called China’s Gakki — the nickname of Aragaki. It is not difficult to know why with a look at her photos.

Without looking at the Instagram account name, would you have known a photo of Aragaki has been slotted among the photos of her doppelganger?

Lizi is a graduate of Shanghai Ocean University and, since winning in the TV contest for aspiring actresses “Come On, Cinderella!” in 2014 in China, her fame has been rising. She has been actively posting her portraits on social media sites like Instagram and Weibo. Lizi has close to 50,000 followers on Instagram and a whopping 153,000 fans on Weibo! After cutting her hair into Aragaki-style, many fans from China and even Japan commented that she looks a lot like Gakki.

It seems Lizi looks like Gakki even in a video — not due to a particular angle at which the photo is taken. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Lizi and Aragaki met and are dressed in the same clothes and same hairstyle?
