The Japan Meteorological Corporation recently announced the forecast on when cherry blossoms, also known as sakura, will bloom in various parts of Japan.
In general, the peak season for hanami, literally viewing flowers in Japanese, which in this case is the cherry blossoms, is between late March and early April. The sakura in southern Japan (Kagoshima, Fukuoka) will usually start to bloom first, followed by those on Japan’s main island (Osaka, Kyoto), and lastly northern Japan (Hokkaido).
However, the blooming time is also affected by the sakura species, the exact location of the sakura (hence the temperature of the environment), and fluctuations in temperature. As such, the forecast only serves as a guide for when the sakura may bloom and not its exact flowering date.
After the first bloom, the cherry blossoms will reach their full bloom in about a week. The full bloom — when the sakura looks the most beautiful — will continue to last for about two weeks.

Last summer there were high expectations that Ukraine’s major counter offensive would succeed in driving Russian forces back, setting the stage for victory. That didn’t happen; instead the offensive faltered and gained little ground. This failure can be laid squarely at the feet of Western refusal to supply adequate military aid. The result was a silent backlash in domestic politics both sides of the Atlantic, which undoubtedly contributed to the US president’s failure to get a further aid packa

A made-in-China electric vehicle will hit U.S. dealers this summer offering power and efficiency similar to the Tesla Model Y, the world's best-selling EV, but for about $8,000 less. The EX30 from Volvo Cars, the Swedish luxury brand owned by China's Geely , foreshadows the fierce competitive threat U.S. automakers could face from Chinese EV manufacturers that have surged far ahead of global rivals, especially on affordability. The $35,000 window sticker of Volvo's compact SUV hits a sweet spot in the U.S. market, where most buyers cannot afford most EVs.
