Janice Wu and Zhang Yujian announce divorce
16 Feb – While other couples share lovey-dovey photos and express love for one another on Valentine's Day, celebrity couple Janice Wu and Zhang Yujian recently decided to use the day to announce their divorce.
The whole divorce announcement started with a photo of Janice and her daughter that she shared on 14 February that she captioned, "Valentine's Day date for single girls."
After fans began to speculate about the post, the actress' studio released a statement confirming that she and Zhang have ended their marriage.
"Ms Janice Wu and Mr Zhang Yujian have amicably decided to divorce. We have no intention to take up public resources, so there will be no more comments on this matter from our side," the statement read.
Zhang later released his own statement, saying that the two of them will continue to be good friends and parents to their child.
Janice and Zhang were rumoured to be dating ever since they starred in the 2019 drama, "Le Coup de Foudre". Although they did not address the rumours, fans began to speculate that the two were even married and were welcoming a child.
In March last year, Zhang finally admitted to the rumour, saying that they are married and are parents to a daughter.
