Janice Man makes sacrifices for "Nessun Dorma"
15 Mar - "Nessun Dorma" may be the most challenging movie for model-actress Janice Man to date, despite her experience playing various roles in the past.
As reported on On CC, the actress, who plays a victim of sexual abuse in the new Herman Yau movie, admitted that she nearly declined the role because of its challenges.
"There were many psychological obstacles that I had to overcome. I thought about it for over two weeks after receiving the script before agreeing to do it," she said.
Janice stated that she decided to do the movie in the end as she didn't want to miss out on the opportunity.
The actress revealed that she was especially worried about the nude scenes and whether or not she would be able to control her character and the complexity of her character's psyche.
"I was so stressed that I suffered insomnia for weeks," she confessed.
Janice was also honest in admitting that she hopes to win Best Actress through her performance.
"I challenged myself this time, so of course I would like to see some good results," she said.
"Nessun Dorma" will be making its world premiere at the 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival.
