Janelle Monáe, Charlize Theron, Kelly Rowland and More Stars Bring Glam Style to THR’s Beauty Dinner

The Hollywood Reporter hosted a beauty dinner on Wednesday in Los Angeles with notable A-listers in attendance, from Charlize Theron to Kelly Rowland.

The soiree coincided with The Hollywood Reporter’s 2023 Beauty Issue, which also debuted on Wednesday. The dinner honored the glam squads of some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Although the event was beauty-centric, celebrities didn’t waste an opportunity for a standout event look. WWD takes a closer look at some of the standout looks from Wednesday’s dinner.

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe wore a red minidress with a sweetheart neckline and taffeta ruffled sleeve accents from Greta Constantine, with matching red lip. She completed her all-red look with red heels and a red clutch. Her hairstylist, Nikki Nelms, joined her at the event.

Ashley Park

Ashley Park wore a chocolate double crepe sablé ring dress with hand-embroidered sequins from Michael Kors Collection. She completed the look with metallic gold peep-toe block-heel sandals. Her hairstylist, Clayton Hawkins, and makeup artist, Jenna Nicole, joined her at the event.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron sported an all-black ensemble with an edgy twist. Theron wore a shirt with sheer side and sleeve details paired with a black tie and long leather skirt. She completed the look with gray socks and pointy-toe ankle-strap heels. Her hairstylist, Adir Abergel, joined her at the event.

Jurnee Smollett

Jurnee Smollett kept it classic in a little black dress for the beauty dinner. Her minidress featured a crystal-embellished balloon skirt, which she paired with black platform ankle-strap heels. Her makeup artist, Vincent Oquendo, accompanied her to the event.

Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton wore a merlot hand-embroidered sequin stretch jersey keyhole dress with elongated bell sleeves from Michael Kors Collection. She completed the look with red boots and a red chain-strap handbag. The actress’ hairstylist, Renato Campora, accompanied her to the event.

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland donned an all-black ensemble featuring a black cutout gown with a strappy cutout detail on the side. She topped off the look with a black turban. The singer and actress’ makeup artist, Sheika Daley, accompanied her to the event. Daley adorned Rowland’s face with a full Lancôme look, including wingtip eyeliner.

Logan Browning

Logan Browning donned a purple ruched minidress with an asymmetric, off-the-shoulder neckline. She completed her look with black ankle-strap pumps. Browning’s makeup artist, Tasha Reiko Brown, accompanied her to the event.
