Can James Franco Turn One of the Worst Movies Ever Into One of the Best?

From Esquire

In 2003, Tommy Wiseau wrote, produced, directed, and starred in The Room, a movie many believe to be one of the worst ever made-and which now has a massive cult following. Beyond its countless design, writing, technical, and acting flaws, The Room has a weird behind-the-scenes story, from the mystery surrounding how Wiseau financed it to its marketing campaign, whicih amounted to a single billboard in Hollywood (which Wiseau kept up for five years, paying $5,500 a month).

But perhaps the strangest chapter in the saga of The Room is that James Franco has made his own movie about the making of this film, based on the book The Disaster Artist written by actor Greg Sestero (who played Mark in The Room).

After debuting at SXSW earlier this year to excellent reviews, the first teaser trailer for The Disaster Artist finally his the internet this week. In it, Franco's Wiseau tries and fails desperately over more than a dozen takes to deliver a single line-which we absolutely believe really did happen.
