Jam Hsiao nervous about hosting the Golden Melody Awards
26 May – "To be honest, I am not ready!"
That is what Jam Hsiao said when asked about his upcoming gig as the host of the 29th Golden Melody Awards.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who appeared at the press conference said that he didn't agree to host the awards at first and that his manager Summer had only mentioned the hosting job once.
"When I found out that I had been selected at the second meeting, I agreed to do it because the producer [Isaac Chen] is a friend of mine, and this year's theme is innovation," he said.
But although he is not prepared, Jam said that he trusts his team and will try to give his very best for the event.
When asked if he is worried about being compared to previous hosts, Jam responded, "I am different than them. Hosting is not my main job. I am doing it with my identity as a singer. But this year's GMA wants innovation."
When asked about his preparation for the awards, Jam admitted that he is still busy with his concerts for now.
The 29th Golden Melody Awards will be held on 23 June at the Taipei Arena.
