Jam Hsiao dismisses rumours of movie's funding issue

16 Oct - Taiwanese singer-turned-actor Jam Hsiao recently dismissed rumours surrounding his first major film, "Ping-Pong Brothers".

As reported on Epoch Times, previously, it was rumoured that the Jay Chou-produced movie has halted production due to lack of funds and an ongoing casting problem.

The rumours had since been denied by Jam's manager Summer Lin, who said that the filming was temporarily halted because the script is undergoing some improvements.

When asked about it at a press conference with his band Lion, Jam reiterated Summer's response, saying that the script is undergoing some changes.

"A lot of movies do this. Scripts are constantly changed, and this is normal. I think people were just being too excited about it, even though it was not that serious," he said.

As for reports about the lack of funding, Jam responded jokingly, "There is no such thing. Not to mention, Jay Chou is worth NTD 5 billion. How can there be any funding problem?"

When asked about reports saying that Jam has suffered a loss after turning down two TV series to do the movie, he laughed and said that it can't be considered a loss if he never took it in the first place.
