Jake Ejercito has no plans to join politics right now
3 Jun – Despite being the son of a former president, Jake Ejercito recently admitted that he has no plans to enter into politics - at least for now.
As reported on Inquirer, the actor, who follows his mother Laarni Enriquez's footsteps instead of father Joseph Estrada, stated that he used to want to be involved in politics, even taking business administration and international management in college to better prepare himself.
"Back then, I really wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps when it came to being a public servant," he said. "Today, I'm a firm believer that you don't have to hold public office to be able to help and serve people."
Nonetheless, Jake stated that he is not closing any doors on public service, especially after joining showbiz even though he had previously stated that he was not going to do it.
"I'm not saying that I won't ever enter politics, but as of now, if you ask me I'll tell you I don't have any plans," he added.
Jake has a 10 year-old daughter named Adrianna Gabrielle, or Ellie, with former partner Andi Eigenmann.
