Jake Cuenca denies causing commotion at Star Magic Ball

The actor says it was just a misunderstanding, he just had too much to drink that night

28 Oct - Actor Jake Cuenca has denied rumours that he caused a commotion at the recently held Star Magic Ball.

As reported on Coconuts Manila, previously, tabloids reported that the actor had a fight with someone at the Makati Shangri-La Ballroom before Gerald Anderson stopped it, while another report stated that he had also made a ruckus while Jericho Rosales was onstage to accept his award.

However, when asked about it recently, Cuenca said that he wasn't fighting with anybody at the Ball, adding that it could be a misunderstanding after he and actor Paulo Avelino got drunk.

"I had a little too much to drink, so my handler and my two road managers assisted me. It looked like a commotion, but in reality, I was just having way too much fun and they just wanted me to go up and rest," he said.

Cuenca has also spoken to Rosales regarding the incident, and that the actor told him that there was no issue at all.

As for the person who was seen dragging him back to his room, Cuenca said that it was just his handler.
