Jacquemus Turns Its Attention to the Nike Air Max 1 With Three Colorways Releasing Soon
More from Footwear News
Jacquemus and Nike are adding a new sneaker silhouette to their collaborative series.
The Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 will release soon in three colorways. The nearly forty-year-old sneaker takes on monochromatic looks in white, red and silver featuring a slightly modified upper. Perforations have been added at midfoot, while the larger leather Swoosh has been replaced by a smaller metal badge. Aside from the mudguard and heel counter, the rest of the upper’s paneling has been flattened for a minimalist look.
Jacquemus’ name is debossed onto the heel, and mismatched branding on the tongue tag and insole trades marks for the two parties involved. Swoosh-marked leather lace tips, which were also used for Jacquemus’ Air Humara and J Force 1 Low, make a return as a small luxurious flourish.
The white variant features shades of cream and off-white while mixing leather and suede on its upper. The red version strays only with a small white portion of its outsole and features suede, mesh and patent leather on its upper. For the silver pair, patent leather takes on more territory with a mesh base, and a dark blue sole unit hosts a small hit of white on the outsole.
Jacquemus and Nike began collaborating in 2022, and their most recent capsule included a Swoosh-shaped leather purse that went viral.
A release date has not yet been set for the Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1, but the luxury label has said its newest sneaker trio is coming soon. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
