Jaclyn Jose says she is quitting showbiz

2 Sep – Jaclyn Jose recently announced that she is soon to retire from showbiz.

In a now deleted Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of herself and posted, "I am retiring. Thank you so much."

She also added in the comments that retiring is really hard but that she knows she has to go, and that she loves her children, Andi Eigenmann and Gwen Garimond.

No reason was given by Jaclyn as to why she later deleted the post.

Jaclyn, who made her acting debut in the 1984 movie, "Chicas", is known for TV series like "Mula Sa Puso", "Marimar", and "Alyas Robin Hood". She also stars in numerous films including "Ma' Rosa", the film that enabled her to become the first Southeast Asian to win at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Actress.

Her last drama was GMA's "Bolera".
