Jacky Cheung denies rumours of ICU admission

11 Mar - Jacky Cheung has recently dismissed recent rumours that he has been admitted to the ICU in Zhongshan in a critical condition over a mysterious disease.

As reported on Sohu, the Hong Kong singer, known to his fans of the god of songs, sent a written statement via his record label, Universal Music, saying that he actually has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

"After returning to Hong Kong from the Shanghai concert on 3 March, I had diarrhoea for two consecutive days. The doctor diagnosed me as positive for Covid-19... I am currently taking special medicine against Covid, and I feel fine. The diarrhoea has stopped, I have a slight fever, a slight cough, and some muscle aches. I am currently self-isolating at home. However, today's rapid test still shows two lines, showing that the symptoms continue," he wrote.

Jacky also apologised and said that he had to cancel three of his shows in Shanghai from 8 to 10 March because of his condition and disappoint fans who wanted to see him.

The singer then said that he will do his best to take a good rest, take medicine on time, drink more warm water and start doing exercises to recover and regain his strength as soon as possible.

"I hope to be able to perform again in Shanghai in normal conditions next week. Meet everyone on stage. Jacky Cheung, come on!" he added.
