Jackie Chan wants stunt team to inherit his art centre

24 Jun - Action star Jackie Chan recently held the 40th anniversary celebration for his stunt team at the Jackie Chan Art Centre in Beijing Panlong Valley.

As reported on HiNet, the actor was reunited with many of his former colleagues in the event attended by 71 members, including the first generation of its Taiwanese members, Wang Yao and Peng Gang.

However, it was the vast size of the centre - which covers an area of 330,000 square metres and costs approximately RMB 1 billion - that caught the media's attention.

It is understood that the centre will soon have its own accommodation including restaurants, gymnasiums, running area, a big field for sports and many other installations.

Jackie also revealed that he will soon establish the Chinese Stuntman Association, a project that has been in planning for more than 20 years.

When asked if his son Jaycee Chan will one day inherit the place, Jackie said that he will leave the centre to the stunt team to manage when he's gone, with the hope that it will continue to exists in many years to come.
