Jackie Chan nearly died while filming "Skiptrace"

25 May – Jackie Chan admitted that he had a brush with death while filming his new movie, "Skiptrace".

As reported on ECNS News, the action star, who attended the promotional event of said movie in Beijing last weekend, stated that he had given his all for the movie and almost died while filming in Guangxi.

"I fell out of my raft because of a huge torrent. I was screaming for help because I'm not a good swimmer, but the crew was unable to get close to rescue me," said Jackie.

"I was able to save my own life when the water turned the raft back to me. It was horrifying. Life really is vulnerable," he added.

Although Jackie was free from harm, the same cannot be said about cinematographer Chan Kwok Hung, who drowned while shooting the movie in Lantau Island back in December 2014.

"Skiptrace", co-starring Fan Bingbing and Hollywood actor Johnny Knoxville, is scheduled for release this July.
